This file has been created in the project "A Digital Comparative Edition of the Bieyi za ahan jing" conducted at the Chung-hwa Institute for Buddhist Studies 中華佛學研究所 and the Dharma Drum Buddhist College 法鼓佛教研修學院. The project is funded by the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation for International Scholarly Exchange 蔣經國國際學術交流基金會. The aim of the project is to produce a comparative digital edition and partial translation of the 364 sutras of the BZA and their parallels. The texts are kept in single files in an eXist database and are realized via XQuery and XSLT as HTML for the online user. The project lasts from 2005-2008. 如是我聞：一時佛在
爾時世尊著衣持鉢，入波羅奈城。見一比丘，身意不定，諸根散亂。時彼比丘遙見佛已，低頭慚愧。佛乞食已，洗足，入僧坊中。出於靜室，坐僧眾中，語諸比丘言：
我於今朝見一比丘，不攝諸根。時彼比丘遙見我已，有慚愧色，低頭撿情。為是誰耶？
時彼比丘即於
世尊！心意不定，諸根散者，即我身是也。
佛言：
善哉比丘見我乃能撿情攝意！見諸比丘、比丘尼、優婆塞、優婆夷，亦當如是，撿情攝意，如似見我。汝能如是，於長夜中安樂、利益。
有一比丘即於佛前，而說偈言：
比丘乞食入聚落 心意縱亂不暫定 見佛精進攝諸根 是故佛稱為善哉
